Cairo Walk - Gate to Gate - UN Walk!!!

Egypt, Canada, USA, England, N. Ireland, Belgium, Morocco, Iran and Pakistan!

We had people from all these countries joining our PTP Cairo Gate to Gate Tour! Do you now understand the title of this message?:)

Wow. That was great. People from many countries, languages, cultures were there on the tour with us. It was really a very nice tour thanks to (Camel) and (Timour) and to the lovely people who attended .

I can't believe that the 2 tours dragged some 75 attendees all in all! WOW!

I can safely say the the idea of a "night walk" turned out to be a SMASH!

Winter is THE season for Cairo Walks, so get ready...we have a MASSIVE SURPRISE coming up next month...stay tuned in.

The Cairo Gate to Gate Tales continue on PTP...and I'd love to read your own tales and impressions.

We walked all the way (Fatimid Cairo) from Sultan Hassan mosque crossing the Al-Moez Ledinel Allah street, Al-serojeyia, ....Barquq mosque, zewila.... many old and story-related places, saw many monuments that made us feel the real Cairo.

I was very happy that I could make it. I've always wanted to go on a tour with nice guys like those. Although it took about 3 hours (4 kilometres at least) to cross al those areas I didn't feel tired at all. Otherwise I wished it was longer.

It was really a nice tour in a nice weather with a nice company.

So, thank you Camel and Timour for their efforts and time they put to make that evening's success come true.

Bye for now, wish to see you all very soon,

A poor Nobel prize!!!

Although I'm happy for that prize I'm sad because there were and are many Egyptians who didn't take that prize while they did really global and great work that is worth it. Many Egyptian scientists and scholars are great and creative, but the government of Egypt doesn't give some care for them and their work so their work's effect and popularity vanish quickly and their creativeness disappear rapidly.

Take your time and

Imagine you live in a world where there are no forests or jungles. Imagine you live in a world where there are no vegetables or fruits to eat. Imagine you live in a world where there are no grass to play on. Imagine you live in a world where there are no plants in seas for fishes to hide in from enemies. Imagine you live in a world where there are no trees planted in streets to protect you from sun rays. Imagine you live in a world where there are no green T-shirts. Imagine you live in a world where there is a 6-colour rainbow. Imagine you live in a world where there are only two basic colours; red and blue. Imagine you live in a world where there in no green colour, how would your life be?

Of course our life will be too difficult.

The United Nations (UN) claims that the main reason for global warming (high increase in the earth’s atmosphere temperature) is the decrease of planted areas.

The United Nations does a great work in controlling most of this decrease, but it that work will not make any difference without the efforts of people.

Here we come to ensure the active work of youth and volunteers to change the world for a better place.

We invite any interested person to join us. We will constitute a big one team that extends from far east to far west that meet government officials to convince them increase the planted areas, make teams in every country that meet up together at least once weekly to discuss the problem and take action to end it, take part in any possible environmental volunteering work, make posters and billboards for informing people about the problem and teaching them how to deal with it, make cleaning campaigns to clean up streets and cleansing rivers if possible, meet school’s primary pupils and give them tips and advices about how to protect the environment, and make workshops in related fields.

If any one of you has an idea or suggestion please let other team members know it. This page is opened. So, feel free to post your documents and progress reports. You can contact me through email at: ahmedmaharoon@yahoo.com and you can refer other people to this team’s page at: http://projects.takingitglobal.org/green .

The United Nations launched the millennium development goals (MDGs) campaign that contains projects about the environment and global warming. This campaign is directed to all people especially youth. So, if anyone of you know how to contact the UN officials and convince them or contact his/her country officials that work along side with these goals to support him/her in his/her work in his/her country shouldn’t hesitate.

Ramadan Benefits

To all Ramadan lovers who are spread all over the world in every country, every district, and every building, thank you for obeying God.

Why is Ramadan? Ramadan is not just a holy month where we do well, but it is also a big teacher for all of us. In Ramadan we all fast, all Muslims all over the globe, at the same time, at the same prayer and eat at a same time too. In Ramadan we fast, http://moos.tigblog.org/post/30348.

But Ramadan is more than fasting. First of all, why do we fast?! We fast for many reasons:

To obey Allah who ordered us to. And when Allah orders us to do something it will be for our benefit. Allah the most merciful ordered us to fast to fell the poor.

And this is the second reason. When you fast, you prevent yourself from life goods, all of them. You don't eat, don't drink, don't practice love with you wife, don't hit, don't insult, don't cheat, and don’t sleep while fasting. You don't do many things you are doing within your normal life to feel the poor people. To feel how much they suffer, and how much they struggle to survive.

third, we fast to improve our behaviour. That's because the water percentage in human body increases during some days of the month and that causes us to rage and get angry. That is what Ramadan tries to do with us. We fast, then our body water decreases, so we become a better creatures.

Forth is that, when the water decreases in our body and so many people fast around the world it helps in solving a big part from the world water problem. We all know that water which is available and suitable for human drinking and use is decreasing in the world. That made the UN develops a programme for a world water summit and day. Simply, if we fast, a big part from this problem will be solved.

Fifth, and last, we fast because this is what prophets did. Because in the hereafter, there will be a special places and paradises for fasters. They will be rewarded more than others. They will enter paradise from a door called Al-Rayan which is built specially for them.

This holy, spiritual month is all a good thing and is always full of memories, good ones, that we all feel spirited and excited during it. May Allah bless us all and help us obey and worship him right.

Ooh!!!
Guys,

I found two more benefits from fasting:

The first is that fasting works as a rest for your stomack which is an important part of your body. We eat every day, maybe every hour, our stomack works around the clock with no rest while other parts of our body take rest from time to time. For example, when we sleep, our eyes, mind, muscles,...take rest while our stomack is working. And rest is essential for effective body parts to work properly.

The second one is that fasting helps us save and lower costs of the day. We all buy many things daily that costs us a lot and fasting is important to decrease our crazy rocketing consumption.

The third one is that saving and decreasing consumption help the economy to be more rationalized. We all know that consumption is one of the few reasons for a poor and weak economy. When we fast and save this helps in improving our economic situation.

May Allah bless you all. Happy fasting. Happy Ramadan.

Ramadan Kareem for all of you.

Ramadan in Egypt

As we are hosting a special guest that comes to visit us regulary every year with a lot of blessing channels and great quantity of winning chances to get close to Allah and serve him in the best way we can. this dear guest is our holy month of Ramadan.

What is Ramadan?
it is thirty days a year that make us think deeply of what we have done for eleven monthes ago, and make us evaluate our religious connections with God. thirty days of gathering with the families alltogether to eat on one big table and feel the esence of the past days before life get more complecated as it is now. thirty days that you should use them very carefully to make the best out of them by reading the holy book many times and helping the poor people as much as you can. thirty days of stopping the all bad habbits that we used to do daily. thirty days of smiling, forgiveness and dealing with the other in a soft tenderness way that comes from the enternal peace that we should keep in our hearts, controlling our emotional reactions and adjust them to help us winning more belssing in this holy month.
the normal Ramadan Day start at 4.10 am when we hear the blessing tone of Fagr Calling * AL AZAN, and wake up to wash and pray then look at the sky and think about the creation formula and what God has offered us in this life and what we are promised to be offered in the other life. in this moment you can really find the internal peace inside yourself.
After that, a normal working day starts, goes on smoothy and finishes a little earlier than what it used to.
At 2.00 pm., people start to get back home, so transportation turn out to be blocked for three hours and you can hardly get home minutes before the breakfast hour which is about 6.10 pm. Usually the weak souls that hold shortness of good connection with God, feel like every small problem can be big one cause of the fasting and start to make troubles around pretending that being fasting is an excuse to be rude and angry. While the strong souls that hold true religion and internal peace inside their hearts feel like every small problem can be solved with a small smile and a few words of the holy book that remind people how to deal with each other in the best way.
At 6.10 pm., People are allowed to eat and drink and do whatever they like but not any prohibited food in Islam like; dead animals, ham, wine,…. after doing the pray of ALMAGHREB. For almost one hour you can get some rest or watch some TV. Programs and then comes AL3ESHA2 which is the last daily pray.

RAMADAN KARIM
